Evidence for the decisions
that define an organisation

ecap advantage gives organisations across the Middle East access to Matthew Syed Consulting's psychometric suite, delivered by ecap.

For leadership appointments: roles across the region are increasingly created with limited precedent, where track record explains where a leader has been but not how they will operate when conditions change. Mindset Advantage provides that missing evidence: how a leader thinks, learns, and adapts.

For leadership and team effectiveness: the diagnostics show where performance can grow. Mindset Advantage identifies the behaviours with the greatest potential for development, and Collective Advantage shows how a leadership team performs together under pressure.

Two diagnostics,
two lenses on high performance

Mindset Advantage

Recruit and develop resilient, agile leaders who can confidently lead through change.

Designed specifically to measure and build a growth mindset at an individual, team, and organisational level. Evaluates nine aspects of an individual’s growth mindset, together with six aspects of the organisational culture that supports growth and learning.

The diagnostic takes 15 to 20 minutes to complete, works on any device, and is straightforward to deploy at scale.

Collective Advantage

Build high-performing teams where people speak up, collaborate, and innovate.

Measures psychological safety across a team, function, or organisation on four dimensions: inclusion, working together, constructive challenge, and learning from experience.

Each dimension is scored from risk through to differentiator, with response-rate data indicating the reliability of the findings.

  • A personal report for each participant, scoring the nine aspects and identifying individual strengths
  • An explanation of how those aspects show up in day-to-day working and decision-making
  • Development actions focused on the three behaviours with the greatest potential for change
  • Interview questions structured around the areas the data surfaces, when used for recruitment
  • Scores set against established performance benchmarks at individual, team, and organisational level
  • Appointment decisions: evidence of how a leader thinks and adapts, alongside track record, telling the panel what to probe before the decision is made
  • Succession and bench strength: identifying readiness for roles that do not yet exist in their eventual form
  • Leadership development: focusing development on the behaviours with the greatest potential for change
  • Transformation readiness: understanding where a leadership group is likely to be tested as conditions change
  • An overall benchmarked team score, positioned on a scale running from risk through constraint, mixed, and enabler to differentiator
  • A benchmarked score against each of the four dimensions, showing where culture supports performance and where it constrains it
  • A response-rate indicator, so results can be read with the right level of confidence
  • Findings drawn from the range of perspectives within the team, with the areas where change would have most effect identified
  • Newly formed leadership teams: where a group of strong individuals has yet to operate as one
  • Cross-functional environments: where collaboration, rather than capability, is the constraint on delivery
  • Following engagement surveys: where scores have raised a question the data cannot answer
  • Where individual development has not translated: where the constraint sits in the environment rather than the person

Both diagnostics developed by Matthew Syed Consulting.
The wider performance suite is available through ecap advantage across the Middle East.
