Last week marked another milestone in Evercare’s bold mission to transform healthcare leadership across emerging markets, as they delivered the latest session of the Evercare x ecap Leadership Training Programme 2025 in Lekki, Nigeria.

Held in partnership with ecap, this intensive development experience brought together a diverse and dynamic cohort of 74 participants, including 42 caregivers and 32 emerging leaders from across the Evercare network in Lahore, Lekki, and Kenya. The programme is a cornerstone of Evercare’s commitment to nurturing in-house talent, promoting cross-regional collaboration, and strengthening the foundations of resilient, people-centred healthcare systems.

Investing in People to Transform Systems

The Evercare x ecap Leadership Training Programme is not simply a training course; it is a long-term investment in people. Designed to develop leadership capability at multiple levels of the organisation, the curriculum is built around three key pillars: governance, strategic thinking, and patient-centred care.

Throughout the programme, participants gained critical insights into how to lead effectively in complex healthcare environments. With a blend of interactive workshops, real-world case studies, and practical leadership tools, the training fostered new ways of thinking about quality, accountability, and innovation within the health ecosystem.

By uniting professionals from different geographies and functions (ranging from clinical practitioners and department heads to operations leads) the programme created an environment of peer learning and cross-pollination of ideas. It encouraged participants to reflect not only on their own leadership styles, but also on the collective role they play in shaping organisational culture and driving systemic impact.
