Daniel Murphy

Prior to co-founding ecap, Daniel was a partner and operating board member for a boutique search business that was acquired 3 times in an 8-year period.

Daniel has led some of the largest change agendas and restructures in the GCC. He is recognized by board members as a trusted and honest advisor and over the course of the last decade, he has completed a broad range of search assignments across the C-Suite, including appraisal of leadership teams, non-executive hiring, and board formation.

Recognised as an advocate of behavioural performance management and data-driven decision making, Daniel was recently accredited in the delivery and interpretation of Hartman Value Profiling (Axiology) and has a passion to support executives to ‘be the best version of yourself’.

Daniel has executed and supported delivery of over 250+ C-suite and leadership searches in the last 10 years. He has conducted varying leadership change initiatives including the full build of teams and boards, most notably in the last 5 years building a regulator, establishing a government forum and restructuring an Islamic Bank.

Daniel studied Sports Science and Business Management and is a UEFA B qualified football coach. He is married with 2 children and has lived in the Middle East since 2009.
