Joost has more than 20 years of investment and M&A experience with renowned institutions like Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, GLG Partners, Atlas Global, as well as large family offices.
Prior to joining ecap ventures, Joost was the Chief Investment Officer & Head of Asset Management for a prominent regional confidential Family Office.
Throughout his career, Joost has successfully closed more than $25 billion in direct investments across approximately 100 transactions across industries and geographies.
Joost has extensive experience in private equity, real estate, special situations, infrastructure, growth, and venture capital investments across various industries including service companies, banks, real estate, oil & gas, technology, telecom, retail, hospitality, healthcare, (alternative) energy, infrastructure and agriculture.
Joost has been a successful and impactful Board Member at many private companies in the world.
As a result of his 20+ years investment experience, Joost has built a strong network of investors, family offices, entrepreneurs and service providers.
Joost holds a Master’s of Science in International Business Study with a specialisation in Finance from Maastricht University in the Netherlands.
He is married with four children and has lived in the Middle East since 2016.
